On the Road again

I knew the Lord was on my side. The days have been lovely to take some photos. Great! So I’ve been a London marathon- photograph/research style. Because I already know the areas is much easier. I even found something new.
2 guesses as to what this nuclear submarine thingy thing is.
All it is, is a deep level boiler room (so why the spaceship looking thing above level? Oh I don’t know).

So what now Ivy?
What is this?

Well, if you are going to make something different, you might as well make it BIG.
This is the legendary giant portfolio of Kevin O’Callaghan. Why was I inspired by this? Well I’m also thinking BIG (ok not building a cemetery out of fibre glass).

Ok now, this is London as the world knows it.

Because my idea is on, ‘lesser known gems in London’, ‘Odd bits in London’, ‘’Hidden London”…(Urban Discovery, I’ve always called it). I’m planning to print BIG post cards. 100x150cm (x 100% of a standard postcard) with some of the places I’ve discovered on them and patrolling around London with them (not hidden anymore). Now my dilemma is- do I display these postcards in random places so other people will know what’s outside their territories or in the boroughs that they are (but I’m thinking the locals might already know about these places- or not). Due to time and cost, I had planned to print 6 giant postcards and visit 6 locations. Each postcard will have the website bold on it (the website I’m working on is a simple html site, text, image, links. Nothing flashy, but the info is there). I will also have the standard size postcard of all the places I’ve discovered.
Eg. Of the postcard will be something like this.
